YORUBA DEMON

YORUBA DEMON!

Hey Guys,
Its me again, ZELIA aka ZEEPELK... Due to my multiple names... African culture things based on my position in my family as the first gal...Hehehe..
Well with that said, I still like to rant!

Its been a while since i last put up a post... So sorry guys, but life happened in different ways and its for the better because i have new lessons and stories to share...

Today's gist is a very very funny one. Hmm...Wait for it guys, don't be hungry.

The other day, i was having a conversation with one of my gurls... and gist led to gist!

THE MAIN GIST...YORUBA DEMON!
Ever heard of the term before? This gist is a pure definition of the term "YORUBA DEMOND"
A lady friend of  mine got married two years ago...I remember huge 'Geles' flying everywhere...It was a colourful day...Erm... until she got into the main marriage.
Apparently, Her hubby was one of those traditional  Yoruba men, who checks the future of the supposed bride before they commence the marriage...Interesting right?
Grab your coffee cos its gets more juicy...

FLASH BACK BEFORE THE CHECK
Babe met hubby during NYSC and Hubby quickly proposed ,got married to her in less than three months of meeting. Beautiful love story right? Erm NOT!
After the first year of marriage with no issue, babe started having countless nightmares upon nightmares, Failed upon failed career endeavours, and different warning prophesies rolling in about her hubby which she totally ignored. Until she and hubby had a fight where she finally moved out because she prayed too much...According to His complain.

WHY THE CHECK?
Apparently, its is a Yoruba culture(in some parts of yoruba) to have the future of their girlfriends checked before they finally choose a bride. Wonders shall never end in Lagos ooooh...
From confession by her hubby, He checked her future and saw that she was going to be a great woman, so he converted her destiny to His, Hence he alone started prospering and she was stagnant and miserable in every way. The condition for this to work was that He had to provide all her financial needs. But trust warri women and prayers na... lol

MY CONCERN
Erm...the whole gist is not my concern o, what concerns me is the fact that she said most Yoruba men do this before they choose a wife.
Guys, is this true, or is her case one in a million?
Well, it's just a question though.

Well i rest my case for today...Until i reach you with more gist,
I remain

Sincerely,
Zelia.
